Ashanti Shequoiya, better popularly known as Ashanti, is an incredibly popular American singer and actress. She's a performer and an actress who hails from her native United States. Ashanti was first discovered when she was an teen and signing with Murder Inc. Records in 2002. The same year she also appeared as a guest on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? The song "What's the Love?" by Fat Joe as well as Ja Rule's "It's Always" on Time are both massive hits. When she released the single, What's Luv, at number two at the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at number one with Foolish as her debut single, she was the only female artist to accomplish this feat. Additionally, she was featured in the Fat Joe song "What's Luv?" She also appeared on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? Her debut single Foolish contains a cover of DeBarge's 1983 song Stay with Me. Ashanti released her first album, which was titled "Ashanti" in 2002, under Irv Getti's Murder Inc. Record Label. The Declaration her fourth studio album launched on June 3, 2008. Hey Baby, After the Club (released both on radio and digital formats) was released on October 16 on the 16th of October, 2008.
